Michael P. Blum is the co-founder and Principal Integration Officer of DataField Intelligence, where he leads the integration of AI-enabled analytics, signals intelligence, secure data systems, and cross-domain architectures for defense, intelligence, and homeland-security missions. A U.S. Air Force veteran with more than two decades of technical and program experience, he specializes in transforming complex operational requirements into secure, deployable systems that connect software, radio-frequency technologies, cybersecurity controls, enterprise networks, and intelligence workflows.

At DataField Intelligence, Mike guides technical integration across machine-learning pipelines, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems, anomaly detection, intelligence fusion, and processing, exploitation, and dissemination modernization. His work spans classified and multi-security-domain environments and emphasizes mission readiness, system assurance, cybersecurity compliance, repeatable deployment, auditability, and long-term sustainment. He serves as a technical bridge among mission users, engineers, customers, and program leaders, translating operational needs into executable architectures, schedules, and deliverables.

Mike’s career includes designing, deploying, testing, and sustaining mission-critical intelligence and communications systems supporting the U.S. Department of Defense, National Security Agency, and U.S. Army. His experience encompasses cross-domain solution design, secure messaging systems, FIPS-aligned network architecture, GPS and network time services, cybersecurity hardening, vulnerability assessment, logging and alerting, configuration management, and audit readiness. He has also implemented deployment and maintenance automation using technologies including Kubernetes, Ansible, Docker, Linux, Windows, Cisco networking, virtualization platforms, Splunk, and enterprise collaboration tools.

In senior systems-engineering and architecture roles, Mike has designed cross-domain capabilities for international messaging, developed security-focused network upgrades, modernized services operating across multiple security domains, and created technical roadmaps for maintaining high-assurance cybersecurity compliance. His approach combines disciplined systems engineering with practical attention to cost, reliability, maintainability, and the needs of operational users.

Mike spent nearly eight years leading design-verification testing and field integration for signals intelligence and electronic intelligence hardware and software. He developed and executed test plans, supported environmental and prototype testing, performed RF and component-level troubleshooting, collaborated with engineering teams on root-cause analysis, and helped resolve defects before systems reached operational users. He also delivered technical training and integration support for field teams and deployed intelligence capabilities.

Earlier, as director of operations for an RF and communications solutions company, Mike used Agile delivery methods and Department of Defense Architecture Framework documentation to guide systems from concept and prototyping through acceptance testing, field deployment, and customer training. His earlier technical roles included RF and microwave systems testing, SIGINT and ELINT component troubleshooting, optical and fiber calibration, technical-manual development, production support, and process improvement.

His broader project portfolio includes autonomous robotics, medical smart devices, cloud-based artificial-intelligence and machine-learning tools, data-analysis platforms, and secure enterprise infrastructure. Across these domains, his focus has remained consistent: integrating hardware, software, data, networks, and people into reliable mission systems that can be deployed, operated, and maintained under demanding conditions.

Mike began his technical career in the U.S. Air Force as an F-16 avionics technician with the 79th Fighter Squadron. He maintained and troubleshot navigation, radar-guidance, weapons-management, cockpit-display, countermeasure, GPS, electronic-intelligence, and digital flight-control systems in a high-tempo flightline environment. That operational foundation continues to shape his approach to technical discipline, documentation, safety, maintainability, user training, and mission readiness.

Mike holds CompTIA Security+ and Certified ScrumMaster credentials. He brings to DataField Intelligence a distinctive combination of operational aviation experience, SIGINT and RF engineering, cross-domain architecture, cybersecurity, automation, technical program execution, and end-to-end systems integration.
